MEET JASSAE, OUR FOUNDER

Hi there! I’m Jassae Custer, the founder of Custer Wellness. I’m a conservative Christian, wife, a dog mom, a devoted wellness seeker, and yes, even a ‘conspiracy theorist’. My journey began a few years ago when I started falling ill more frequently. With no help from Western medicine and their doctors, I decided to take my health into my own hands and began exploring herbalism and all-natural remedies.

Initially, I changed my diet, and soon after, I overhauled my skincare products and routine. Now, don’t get me wrong—I’m not 100% non-toxic (we follow the 80/20 rule in our household), but I can proudly say that my skincare is entirely natural. I started researching the ingredients in the beauty products I used every day and realized I had to say goodbye to all my favorite mainstream brands. That’s when I discovered tallow.

Tallow has truly taken over my household. We cook with it, use it on our face and body, and even apply it to bumps and scrapes. It’s our multi-use miracle product. Tallow, when blended with the right natural ingredients, can replace all your basic skincare needs. When I find something I love and that’s easy to use, I integrate it fully into my life. Yes, I am a bit obsessed with tallow!

My first tallow creation was a moisturizer, which I made for myself and my husband, Joe. I have acne-prone skin and, while I still get the occasional blemish, my skin has significantly cleared up thanks to tallow (and my fix it spray). I can now step outside without makeup and feel confident, which is a huge change for me. I started sharing my moisturizer with friends who also prefer non-toxic options, and based on their positive feedback, I began expanding my product line.

Currently, we have six products and plan to keep things simple, especially as a small business starting out. I feel very fortunate to work with tallow, something I'm passionate about and continue to develop my product line. All our products have minimal ingredients, which I absolutely love. I make each product to order to ensure freshness without preservatives or unnecessary additives. This principle is paramount to me—it’s not about the money or popularity, but about keeping our products simple and effective.

I would never produce something I wouldn’t use myself. I also wouldn’t have created a skincare line if I were the only one who liked the products and results. Skincare is a deep passion of mine, which is why I am also a certified laser technician. I fawn about aging gracefully, looking young, and keeping OUR skin looking flawless. My entire household, extended family and friends use my products, and I am thrilled to share this life-changing skincare line with you.

Some might say the tallow market is a bit saturated but I knew there were many others with the same intent, to show how tallow is the only skin care you need. How we differentiate ourselves from the other brands is that we want to sell something that not only is a great product but we want it to look classy and appeal to all classes of people. All honesty, I'm a very high maintenance - high standards woman and I want my products to reflect that. The typical tallow brand sells their product in glass amber jars and uses carriers oils that I wouldn't touch personally. We source the best organic and raw ingredients we can find. Our jars (aside from the body scrub and naked tallow) are glass and can be washed and repurposed. Same with our spray bottles. When someone looks at our packaging they'll know it isn't just another tallow jar. This brand is for the moms on a budget, the women who would buy an $80 bottle of moisturizer (used to be me) and those who just want to stop slathering their face in petroleum and carcinogens. We like to keep our products simple, our current products only have the maximum of five ingredients. You wont find any filler or preservatives here.
